Explaining Cookies

A "cookie" is a small data file that we place on your computer when you browse our site. A cookie can only hold information that we send to your computer - no private details can be read from it. If you have accepted cookies on our site we are not able to access your personal information but we can use the cookies to identify your computer.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • so that you can add goods to and edit the contents of your shopping basket during your session.
  • so that we can recognise you in future visits and show your previous settings in the shopping basket
(payment and delivery details, country of delivery).
  • so that you can take advantage of other specific services, such as displaying the website in your
language, personalisation of the website etc.
  • so that we can tailor our website even more closely to the needs of our customers.

We use "session cookies", which do not stay on your computer. Once you leave our website the temporary cookie is deleted. The information it collects helps us to analyse the user patterns and structures of our website. This will allow us to continue to optimise our website so that we can improve the contents or the personalisation and simplify its use.

The majority of browsers accept cookes as standard. You can allow or forbid temporary and stored cookies independently of each other by going into your security settings. In general it is possible to configure your web browser so that it rejects these cookies or informs you every time a cookie is placed. You can find more information in the manual of your web browser.

If you deactivate cookies you may not be able to access certain features of our website. Some pages may
not display properly. The data stored in our cookies will not be linked to any of your personal details
(name, address etc.). Without your express permission we will not link the data stored in our cookies with your personal details (name, address etc.). GO IN only stores personal details for as long as is necessary for the purposes previously stated.

In order to use our shopping basket facility you need to allow the temporary and permanent cookies. If you do not want or are unable to accept any cookies you can place your order over the phone or by fax.

Explaining Tracking Tools

On our website we use tracking tools to collect and store data for marketing and optimisation purposes. From the collected data a user profile is created under a pseudonym. You may cancel the data collection and storage function at anytime with future effect. We use the tracking tools Google Analytics and Nedstat on our website.

Without your express permission we will not use the tracking tools to:

  • collect personal information about you
  • transfer such details to third parties and marketing platforms
  • link the data to your personal details (name, address etc.)

Website analysis using Google - (Google Analytics) and Nedstat - (Sitestat Analysis)
This website uses Google Analytics and Sitestat, web analysis services of Google Inc. ("Google") and Nedstat GmbH. Google Analytics and Sitestat use so-called "cookies"; text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is sent to a Google or Nedstat server where it is stored. GO IN will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about the website activities and to carry out further services associated with the website and internet use.

Google may pass this information on to third parties where this is legally binding or where Google contracts third parties to process this data. Google and Nedstat will not use your IP address in connection with other data. Nedstat and Google do not connect IP addresses of visitors to our website with individuals.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however we must point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website. By using this website you declare your acceptance of the processing of the data collected about you by Google and Nedstat in the manner and for the purposes described above.

To provide website visitors with more choice on how their data is collected by Google Analytics, we Google developed the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The add-on communicates with the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) to indicate that information about the website visit should not be sent to Google Analytics.

If you want to opt out, download and install the add-on for your current web browser. The Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on is available for Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Opera.
